Tour Requests & Customized Itineraries

Many Torres Travel Company experiences are customized for each traveler or group.

Prices, availability, transportation, accommodations, activities, and schedules may vary depending on travel dates, group size, season, availability, and the specific services requested.

Submitting an inquiry through our website does not guarantee a reservation.

A reservation is considered confirmed only after Torres Travel Company has confirmed the arrangements and any required deposit or payment has been received.

Prices

Tour prices may vary according to the itinerary, number of travelers, accommodations, transportation, activities, season, and other requested services.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, a quoted price applies only to the itinerary and services described in that quotation.

Prices may change before a reservation is confirmed due to changes in hotel rates, transportation costs, admission fees, exchange rates, taxes, government fees, or supplier pricing.

Once your reservation has been confirmed, we will make every reasonable effort to honor the agreed price, subject to circumstances outside our control.

Deposits & Payments

Certain tours, accommodations, transportation services, or customized itineraries may require a deposit or full payment in advance.

The required amount and payment schedule will be provided before the reservation is confirmed.

Some third-party services may have their own deposit, payment, cancellation, and refund requirements.

Travelers are responsible for making required payments by the dates specified in their reservation.

Failure to make payment when due may result in cancellation of some or all travel arrangements.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation and refund eligibility may depend on the type of tour, timing of the cancellation, and policies of hotels, transportation companies, rail services, guides, and other travel providers included in the reservation.

Certain deposits, tickets, reservations, or third-party services may be non-refundable once purchased or confirmed.

Our complete cancellation requirements are explained in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which should be reviewed before making a reservation.

Changes to Your Trip

We understand that travel plans sometimes change.

If you request a change to a confirmed itinerary, Torres Travel Company will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.

Any additional costs imposed by hotels, transportation providers, guides, rail operators, or other suppliers are the responsibility of the traveler.

Itinerary Changes

Travel in the Copper Canyon region can occasionally be affected by circumstances outside anyone’s reasonable control.

Torres Travel Company reserves the right to modify an itinerary when reasonably necessary because of weather, road conditions, transportation schedules, rail schedules, closures, safety concerns, availability, government actions, or other unexpected circumstances.

When a significant change becomes necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative.

Chepe Train Travel

Train schedules, routes, fares, seat availability, operating conditions, and policies are controlled by the applicable rail operator and may change without notice.

Torres Travel Company may assist travelers with planning trips involving El Chepe and the Copper Canyon railway, but we do not control train operations, delays, cancellations, schedule changes, or rail company policies.

Travelers should allow appropriate flexibility when an itinerary depends upon train transportation.

Hotels & Accommodations

Hotel accommodations are subject to availability.

Photos, descriptions, ratings, amenities, and other information regarding accommodations are provided for general guidance and may change.

Hotels and other lodging providers are independently responsible for their facilities, services, policies, and operations unless expressly stated otherwise.

Transportation

Transportation may be provided directly by Torres Travel Company or by independent transportation providers.

Travel times are estimates and may be affected by road conditions, traffic, weather, construction, mechanical problems, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Independent Travel Providers

Some portions of your trip may be provided by independent businesses.

These may include hotels, rail operators, airlines, transportation companies, guides, restaurants, attractions, activity providers, and other tourism businesses.

These providers operate independently and may maintain their own terms, policies, restrictions, schedules, and cancellation requirements.

Torres Travel Company is not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, cancellations, or service failures of independent providers to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Traveler Responsibilities

Travelers are responsible for providing accurate information when making reservations and for reviewing their itinerary before travel.

Travelers are also responsible for obtaining and carrying any documentation required for their trip, which may include:

  • Valid identification
  • Passport
  • Visa or immigration documentation, when applicable
  • Travel insurance documentation
  • Medical or vaccination documentation when legally required
  • Tickets, confirmations, or other travel documents

International travelers are responsible for verifying current entry and travel requirements applicable to their nationality and circumstances.

Health, Mobility & Special Requirements

Copper Canyon travel may involve walking, stairs, uneven terrain, changes in elevation, extended transportation, outdoor activities, and varying weather conditions.

Travelers should inform Torres Travel Company before booking about mobility limitations or other special travel requirements that may affect their ability to participate in planned activities.

We will make reasonable efforts to recommend appropriate arrangements, but not every destination, vehicle, hotel, attraction, or activity in the region can accommodate every requirement.

Travel Insurance

We recommend that travelers consider purchasing appropriate travel insurance.

Depending on the policy, travel insurance may provide protection for circumstances such as trip cancellation, interruption, delays, lost baggage, medical emergencies, or other unexpected events.

Travel insurance is generally provided by independent insurance companies and is subject to the terms and exclusions of the selected policy.

Weather & Natural Conditions

Copper Canyon is a natural destination covering a large geographic area with significant differences in elevation and climate.

Weather and natural conditions may affect roads, activities, transportation, visibility, and itineraries.

Torres Travel Company cannot guarantee particular weather conditions, scenery, wildlife sightings, or other natural conditions during your visit.

Personal Property

Travelers are responsible for protecting their personal belongings during their trip.

Torres Travel Company is not responsible for lost, stolen, forgotten, or damaged personal property except where responsibility is established under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Events Beyond Our Control

Torres Travel Company is not responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

These may include severe weather, natural disasters, fires, floods, road closures, strikes, transportation disruptions, government actions, civil disturbances, public health emergencies, infrastructure failures, or similar extraordinary circumstances.

When possible, we will work with travelers and our local partners to find reasonable alternatives.
